It's been a while, but then it's been an odd couple of years hasn't it? I, like many others, have been hiding away from this evil virus and adjusting to a very different way of life. I suspect the pandemic is not done with us yet, but given there is very little any of us can do about that (other than to take as many steps to stop the spread as possible) let's move on to more cheerful things.
Which includes the first public outing of Flame Opal! I've been selling online for a number of years but was persuaded to attend a coffee morning in aid of Prospect Hospice at the start of this month. It was good fun (and involved a large slice of delicious cake coming my way which I certainly didn't complain about). I also had a new device to play with - a card machine which now means I can accept a number of contactless payment types in person. It even prints receipts (I'm easily pleased!). There were lots of compliments about the products on display and lots of interest in the website, hence it's back online! Over the next few days I will be photographing some of the new items I've been making including glass clocks, Christmas ornaments, keepsakes and of course jewellery. Lots of options for Christmas presents (am I allowed to use the 'C' word yet?) and also gifts for all kinds of times where you would like someone to know you are thinking of them (and we could all use a bit of that right now).
Postage is always expensive for both glass and silver, so if you know me in real life and see something you would like to pick up, get in touch and I can always be tempted to meet somewhere local that involves coffee and cake... ;)
